Whether you are a sports freak, culture lover or nature enthusiast; nobody gets bored in Krems and the surrounding area!

Relax in our sauna or hire a bike from us – the Wachau is widely known for its well-developed and signposted cycle paths. Or would you like to admire the beautiful landscape from the water? With a Danube liner or perhaps during a canoe trip?

For those who like it more extreme: the Wachau may not be a high mountain region, but it is a true climbing paradise. Those who prefer to see the beauty of the region from above can experience unforgettable views from the Krems-Langenlois airfield by plane, hot air balloon or helicopter. Parachute jumps are also possible.

Krems is considered the “secret cultural capital” of Lower Austria. The Krems Art Mile with its art gallery, caricature museum, cinema in the Kesselhaus, Forum Frohner and numerous small galleries offers something for every interest.

The old towns of Krems, Stein, Dürnstein, Mautern and Melk offer numerous gems for lovers of historical architecture. The Benedictine abbeys of Melk and Göttweig are striking cornerstones of the Wachau and also offer wonderful views of the Danube valley.

In a wine-growing region, wine culture is of course also very important: the WEINSTADTmuseum Krems, the World of Wine Experience wein.sinn and the Loisium make the hearts of all wine lovers beat faster.

How about a wine hike with a Krems wine expert “Wachau.Hiata” – we are happy to give you more information!

No matter which leisure activity you fancy – our reception team will be happy to help you!
